ABOUT US

The Trinity Legacy Foundation was founded in 2006 by members of Trinity Baptist Church in Kelowna.

A group of people passionate about Christian ministry felt called to be generous and pursue impact both locally and globally. Over the years many projects have been financially supported with focuses on education, health care, spiritual growth and providing basic needs to people in need.

One project in particular, Helen’s Acres, has been at the forefront of local benevolence. A real passion project that has welcomed volunteers and supporters of call kinds, Helen’s Acres Community Farm has been a catalyst of community momentum to combat food insecurity.

In late 2015, a couple gave 25 acres of land to the Legacy Foundation with a mandate to launch a farming enterprise to help with food security in the community of the Central Okanagan. This initiative has been growing with huge success ever since.

Beyond the farm, the Trinity Legacy Foundation is involved in local and global missions that help those that are in need or who may living on the margins of our community. Main mission areas include supporting pathways out of poverty through education, missionaries and spiritual care programs.

The foundation is overseen by a volunteer board of Christian leaders from the local community. For a current list of board members please click here
